I am a qualified CA (SA) registered with SAICA with 2 years post article experience. I am currently an Audit Senior at Sapro where I am deployed in the United States working with clients in the commercial real estate and retail industries. I completed my articles at the Auditor General of South Africa which sole mandate is auditing of the Public Sector.
I have three and a half years of experience in the audit of the public sector, in my years as an external auditor I have audited state owned entities such as National Energy Regulator and National Nuclear Regulator which are in the Energy Sector to mention a few.
As a senior in my audit career, I was responsible for managing, mentoring and coaching a team of up to 4 up to 6 juniors in each engagement. I was also responsible for reviewing financial statements, budget planning and evaluation, conducting full audit file reviews and client risk assessment procedures. This career progression based on merit is illustrative of my continuous improvement philosophy.
