- Performing physical checks of travelling ways, equipment/machinery, safety equipment and clothing recording observation on a SHE document.
- Ensuring that subordinates are fully briefed and know and understand the full implications of relevant policies, procedures, standards and laws.
- Controlling the sections budget, by inputting/approving purchase requisitions for expenditure.
- Identifying the training requirements for subordinates and ensuring that the relevant training is conducted to ensure competence.
- Monitoring actual individual performance and comparing this to identified performance standards. Initiating corrective action where required.
- Taking cognisance of, and adhering to Corporate Governance and Company policies and procedures relating to health, safety, security and environmental issues.
