o Direct and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
o Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. o Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
o Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement o Collaborate with vendors and third-party logistics providers to negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and optimize service levels and costs.
o Evaluate vendor performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards. o Streamline the supply chain by analyzing and optimizing transportation routes, warehouse layout, and inventory levels to meet customer demands efficiently.
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
o Monitor on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics to ensure operational excellence.
o Ensure compliance with all local regulations related to logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
o Develop and manage the logistics budget, monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
o Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the logistics operations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
o Implement best practices and industry standards to continuously improve logistics processes and procedures.
o Running of entire Operations at the Kraaifontein MRF Facility
