My name is Ben Van der Walt.

I am a VFX compositor and Motion Designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa with 17 years experience in hi-end commercial, TV and feature productions.

I started as an intern 17 years ago at a prestigious Effects Studio in Johannesburg called Sinister Studio. I worked my way up to senior over the years and after 9 years i went freelance. At Sinister my skills were more focused on the TV advertising sector. I have worked on every Brand in South Africa to create some of our country's most loved ads.

As a freelancer i had the opportunity to expand my skillset. I dove deep into motion graphics and have created visuals for some of SA's top creative agencies. From TV to social and DOOH. I also got the opportunity to work on numerous TV shows and feature films to expand my workplace/pipeline knowledge.
