I have a BSc. (Hons) in mechanical engineering and almost 6 years’ experience in engineering, design, project management and execution of mining and minerals projects. I am a registered candidate engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
I have worked on the Amandelbult Chrome Recovery Plant Module 3&4 in which my responsibilities were site construction and commissioning support, I picked up skills such as planning and client liaison with the Operations Team as well as experience in pipe routing. I have also worked in an international project (Kamoa Kakula Concentrator Phase 1&2) during which my responsibilities have been estimation, costing and planning project execution, scope of work definition and management of slurry handling systems such as manual & on/off valves, Agitators, flotation cells, regrind mills, centrifugal blowers, flocculant & coagulant plant systems, peristaltic and centrifugal pumps. I have also commissioned both dry end and wet end sections of the Phase 1 & 2 Kamoa Copper Concentrator.
I have acquired skills in bulk materials handling (conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, belt magnets and bagging systems), mechanical packages contracts management, cost control management, site construction (multidisciplinary liaison) and commissioning management.
I have strong communication skills and enjoy engaging people in every environment I find myself in. I adapt very quickly in a change in environment which is a great asset.
I have a BSc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand
