My name is Bradley Randall Green. I occupied various roles at the South African Post Office over a period of 26 years, that of (acting) Operations Manager International Parcel Division, Designated Official Aviation Security & Dangerous Goods International, Shift Supervisor, Parcel Process Supervisor. My main duties included overseeing and organizing Incoming and Outgoing mail, International Inbound and Outbound parcels and the SAPO courier division, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
I also became responsible assisting the Employee Relations Division with initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings within the Gauteng region.
Later in my career I managed to obtain a Batchelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
I am a holder of a valid South African driving license (code C1 and PDP).
DESIGNATED OFFICIAL AVIATION SECURITY & DANGEROUS GOODS
As the Designated Official Aviation Security I was responsible for drafting and Implementing a security programme in line with Annex 17 of the International Civil Aviation Organization, regulated by the South African Civil Aviation Authority, including the drafting of the dangerous goods manual on the application of safety measures laid down in Part 92 of the South African Civil Aviation Regulations, as well as its associated Technical Standards (SA-CATS-92) designed to meet the requirements of Aviation Safety related standards contained in ICAO Annex 18, and in line with Part 92 of the CARs’, the SA-CATS-92. Upon approval of the compiled Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods manuals by the Director Civil Aviation, the South African Post Office International Division was granted Regulated Agent status by SACAA. I had to implement the overall mail security and dangerous goods programme for SAPO.
My responsibility included the development and maintenance of the Dangerous Goods Procedure Manual and the Air Mail Security Manual, including amendments. I was also responsible for the implementation, monitoring and supervision of the security controls prescribed by part 108 of the cars and Part 92 on dangerous goods. I had to supervise the effective screening of mail parcels for outbound air transportation with various airlines.
My portfolio also included being responsible for all security compliance audits from both the South African Civil Aviation Authority and the Transportation Security Administration (USTSA) with direct reporting to the General Manager Mail Operations.
