I am a married man with three adult children. I have been living in Cape Town for 24 years after moving from KZ Natal. I have been the General Manager at Alphenvale Village for the last 15 years, managing the entire operations of the village.
This includes administration including budget preparation and management, sales of cottages, project management during refurbishments, dealing with contractors like catering security services, garden contractors, building contractors and nursing services. I report to the Alphenvale Trust (who own the village) and a Management Committee. I have 15 permanent staff currently as well up to 50 contracted staff at any given time depending on how busy we are in the Village.
I am reliable, motivated and regard myself as a good communicator at all levels, and I have the ability to work get things done.
I have 25 years experience as a General Manager / Operations Manager at Corporate Level as well as in Private Companies (like where I am currently employed).
Marketing Diploma, Middle Management Diploma, IR Diploma all completed many years ago at Damelin and other business schools.
