As an engineer, with a portfolio of over 10 years of diverse work experience, from fabrication, construction and consulting engineering sectors, my focus is aimed towards growing towards a more skills-based role. My technical experience gives me the capability to solve a wide range of problems in various project-based roles, which enables me to understand the perspectives of each stakeholder. From bridging the gap between hands-on work and design, to providing insight in consulting, it all comes down to understanding and finding a way to bring value, for the company and more importantly the individual.

The last three companies I worked for went through a restructuring process, which is a difficult and frustrating time, but allowed me to get insight to how a team, especially young professionals grow, and more importantly find themselves in the dynamic industry of today. Using the challenges brought by all the new influences of today, to foster values and a sound foundation within the team, leading to autonomy, self-reliance and responsibility with every action and spoken word. Inspiring teamwork in the world of the self-absorbed individual, creating focus in high pressure work environments, and raising awareness around every action to efficiently deliver a balanced result of improved work and more all-encompassing individual.

Project Engineer at PWNT (2023-01 – 2024-04)

• Developed a quality assurance document for a key component of PWNT's proprietary filtration technology.
• Collaborated with a process engineer to redesign a custom static mixer, overseeing the full engineering cycle from design through manufacturing quality checks and final approval.
• Authored a standard operating procedure for membrane integrity testing.
• Provided mentorship in 3D modelling and finite element analysis to a junior engineer.
• Led a team of 5–8 operators in the installation and pre-commissioning of ceramic filtration membranes, consistently completing loading sessions ahead of schedule

Pilot Engineer at PWNT (2024-04 – 2024-12)

• Established a new maintenance department, including procurement of vehicles, tools, equipment, and development of a comprehensive maintenance plan for PWNT's fleet of mobile water filtration systems.
• Trained and supervised operators in basic maintenance and repair, providing technical instruction for plant operation.
• Reduced maintenance costs through equipment optimization and implementation of new process modifications.

Estimator at MB Century (2021-06 – 2021-12)

• Prepared cost estimates for maintenance proposals on geothermal power generation plants.
• Developed proposals including task planning, risk assessments, and commercial terms.
• Contributed to the tender process by providing accurate cost estimates within the project team.
• Gained cross-departmental experience to strengthen technical capabilities.
• Led a proposal effort, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to compile scope, pre-task planning, risk assessment, and cost estimates.

Operations Technician at Veolia (2020-03 – 2021-05)

• Scheduled reactive maintenance activities for a water reticulation crew (3 operators).
• Managed monthly claims for work completed on council assets, covering both reactive and planned maintenance.
• Expanded responsibilities to include stormwater and wastewater teams, leading a team of 15 operators and a site supervisor.
• Restructured and organized spares, tools, and equipment departments to improve efficiency.
• Chaired weekly council meetings to coordinate operations and maintenance priorities.
• Contributed to large capital construction projects for district councils across the North Island.
