Math tutor for 4 years. Followed the caps syllabus to determine the recommended textbooks and test material to complement tutoring. Used positive reinforcement techniques to encourage and build confidence in students. Assessed students' progress throughout tutoring sessions. Prepared lesson plans and learnt modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals. Scheduled tutoring appointments with students and parents. Traveled to students' homes to conduct tutoring session.

Completed coursework towards bachelor of engineering in mechatronic engineering at the Nelson Mandela University. Completed 3 of the 4 years before deciding to change to computer science. Relevant coursework are mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science.
