I am an experienced hospitality manager with over 20 years’ experience of the industry, this experience gained in hotels, restaurants and lodges across various markets in East and Southern Africa, Australia and the Middle East.
Currently, I am the regional operations manager for a company based in Yemen, Oman and Saudi Arabia which operates luxury expeditions for the high-net-worth market. Further to this, in conjunction with NEOM, we are supplying and managing a range of luxury accommodations and activities. I have been involved in this project from the conceptualization stage, including all tender processes, procurement, human resource and financial inputs including the initial CAPEX requirements.
I am responsible for all property and country reporting and analysis.
Before this, I was employed as the Group General Manager for a group that included restaurants, pubs, hotels, breweries and distilleries and cellar doors across Victoria, Australia. My responsibilities included overall management of all hospitality businesses in the group with a staff compliment in excess of 120 members of staff.
I have experience in all areas of luxury property management which includes South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. During this time I developed top shelf guest interaction skills and knowledge of the fundamentals of guest experience management. Further to this, I have launched and managed fine dining and casual dining concepts across Africa and consider my food and beverage knowledge to be exceptional.
