I am a results-oriented Project Controls Management Professional with over 14 years of experience in project controls within the mining and quarry sectors. I hold a Bachelor of Computing degree from Australia's Monash University and possess extensive experience in estimating, cost planning, FIDIC projects, FRP/Bid Development, contract negotiation/administration, budgeting, warranty management, and product development/launch. I have successfully managed controls and monitoring teams for medium to large-scale mining, industrial, and commercial projects with significant business value.
In my current role as the General Manager of Project Controls at Dimension Data, I oversee the South East region, including Botswana, Malawi, and Zambia. I lead the PMO team subcontracted to Debswana under Hatch, managing the Jwaneng IM controls SLA works within the Electronics/Telecommunication scope to expedite operational efficiency. Previously, I led the PMO team for the Letlhakane Tailing Project as a Project Manager subcontracted to Flour Consulting, overseeing the Controls and Planning unit.
My experience in the mining, construction, and mechanical sectors has equipped me to lead major strategic projects both internationally and locally. This includes my tenure as a Project Analyst Controller with DeBeers Group (DBGSS), supporting business operations for DeBeers Group Africa (Venetia, Kimberly, Namibia, and Botswana) in both downstream and midstream capacities.
In my current role, I focus on integrating efficient operations and management methodologies to manage costs, timelines, scope, and risks, ensuring project delivery is on time and cost-effective. I am responsible for ensuring the alignment of business goals across all projects and the timely delivery of projects and plans as stipulated in the business operations strategy for clients and customers within the Middle East and Africa region.

Achieved 60% savings in projects through systematic project controls within five months of establishing the South East PMO Controls unit by re-engineering project plans and renegotiating contracts with new vendors, enhancing quality assurance, and maintaining timelines.
