As a qualified, dedicated and experienced SEND teacher, working with special needs students have made me discover the love I have for people living with disabilities. The individualised curriculum which is tailored for the individual’s operational ability has helped to specifically support my students and help them to reach their maximum potential. My experience has been elevated as I worked with learners with diverse disabilities, both physical and intellectual.
These included Autism and Asperger's, SLD, Occupational defiance Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD. Teamwork has taught me to be an active team player and gave me an opportunity to share my observations and findings through research, and knowledge acquired through attending short courses. In my school believe in personal growth hence staff development programs are being held and I have contributed through developing staff members on how to do classroom management and discipline.
Therefore, with my experience together with my zeal to further learn about disabilities in new environment I believe will be an assert in any special education needs that I will be positioned in.
I am a Special Needs Teacher to teach 5 - 16 year olds. Having gained experience in teaching special needs students for 11 years, has made me develop great passion to adults and children with disabilities.

In addition to my experience I have also volunteered as a care giver to a home with adults with disabilities and Chronic diseases.
I contribute a lot in a team work setting and can work independently as an individual as well.
With a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and English, I have a comprehensive understanding of teaching techniques of students of different disabilities and abilities. I also have an experience in teaching using appropriate technologies e.g. smartboard and computers.
