Carmen Craney

I am a creative professional and educator with a foundation in Animation and a career built on the intersection of art and technology. From freelance animation to teaching Coding and Design, I bring a proactive, innovative approach to every project. I thrive on learning new skills and am dedicated to merging creative passion with practical, technical application.

I matriculated from Merrifield College in 2009, I then continued to study Animation, receiving an advanced diploma in animation in 2011. I worked in the industry for several years before exploring other options. I studied education, intermediate phase from 2020-2024, studying online and working as a teacher assistant throughout the process.

I then was promoted to computer and coding teacher during my 4th year. Once graduated I moved to Hout bay International school where I currently hold the job as MYP design teacher, and personal project coordinator

I am currently working at hout bay international school as their MYP 1-5 teacher. I am also the personal project coordinator as well as manage several other projects throughout the year
