I am a conscientious hard-working and punctual Design Manager with 30+ years of experience in the Intermodal Tank Container Industry. I take on problems head on, and work well in a team and independently. I have worked in the Quality Assurance performing various roles such as Internal Process Quality Auditor, Quality Inspector, Quality Technician / Team Leader.
I am a highly organized, loyal, self-motivated, and positive person who takes pride in his work, and who has put significant effort into understanding the design codes and regulations for the Intermodal Tank Container Industry. I am consequently well versed in tank container manufacturing codes, such as ASME, EN and SANS.
I am a team player, with the ability to adapt to organisational needs. I have exceptionally good people skills and have a passion for the manufacturing and welding industry. I have a strong drive to improve on and complete tasks on time and will bring a unique and dynamic skill set to your company.
I also served on the Welfit Oddy Provident Trustee board for 10 years, of which five years, I was appointed Chairperson of the board.
I am currently appointed as Rector in the New Apostolic church (NAC) where I am responsible to manage all related activities / portfolios within the congregation.
I am an easy-going person who enjoys going out with friends, playing pool, fishing, and other games. I also enjoy road running and in 2001, I completed and finished the Two Oceans Marathon.
I am also a very devote Christian and am committed to church activities. I am an active member of the New Apostolic Church and am in a leadership role where I lead a congregation and manage ministers and coordinators. I am a family man and enjoy spending time at home with my wife and two daughters.
Managed two Quality Inspectors for Receiving Inspection, Calibration and In-process inspections and audits, Problem solving, Root cause analyses.
Performing in-process audits on automotive components required to assemble the light vehicle bodies for Delta (General Motors) and Volkswagen South Africa (VWSA).
Compiling design application documents (calculations, drawings, technical documents) for certification approval.
Consultation and resolve customer complaints.
Advising on information related transport of products and assisting with technical queries on the carriage of hazardous products.
Performing design Calculations and preparation of the design for Pressure Equipment Directive (PED / PER) for approval of non-regulated goods, Carriage of Dangerous Goods (CDG) products and ASME “U” Certification.
Verifying Valve certification and marking conformance to Design codes (ASME, EN 14025, EN 13445) and standards of valves and materials with reference to design and testing requirements.
