My name is Cheyenne Peters and I am seeking working experience in the frame work of work shadowing, internship, volunteer work and a part-time job. I am currently finishing my last year of my law degree at the University of South Africa and I am excited to apply my knowledge and skills to a position in your outstanding firm.
I am suitable for a posting because I am well organised and I can effectively assist a legal practitioner with their daily secretarial task. Obtaining a Teaching English As A Foreign
Language certificate while still studying has taught me to increase my productivity and have a better approach to complex tasks. As a fourth year law student I’ve had the opportunity to enhance my organisation and research skills and have been equipped with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and competencies to analyse and critically evaluate legal material. These experiences all smoothly transfer to a position in a firm.
I have worked at Tutor Tree as a tutor and administrative assistant, from August 2018- February 2019. My responsibilities included tutoring learners from Grade 1-8 Maths, Afrikaans and English, scheduling, preparing lesson plans and maintaining filing system.
I am currently a fourth-year law student at The University of South Africa, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree. Prior to this, I completed my high school education at St Dominics Priory High School, achieving a bachelor's degree. In addition to my legal studies, I have also obtained a GA Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in 2021.
This certification has provided me with valuable skills and knowledge to effectively teach English to non-native speakers. Combining my legal background with my passion for teaching, I am equipped to offer a unique and well-rounded educational experience to my students.
