Director & Chief Executive Officer at Beacon Industries (Pty) Ltd (2025-06 – Present)

Established this manufacturing subsidiary of MCorp Investments – which manufactures, refurbishes and supplies OEM-approved mining, petrochemical and renewable energy equipment – as a fully operational, sustainable entity. Led capitalisation and funding structuring, and designed the organisational structures, policies and accountability frameworks needed to support controlled, scalable operations.

Chief Financial Officer and Finance Director at Sepfluor Limited (Sephaku Fluoride Limited) (2015-09 – 2023-01)

Led the R1.7bn funding of the Nokeng Fluorspar Mine, securing debt, equity and mezzanine funding from foreign DFIs, local commercial banks and shareholders, and negotiating covenants, gearing, tenor and margin terms. Took the project from deal origination through financial close, construction and commissioning to full operation – winning two international financing awards and a third finalist placing. Built the finance, accounting and supply-chain systems for the group and served on the boards of Sepfluor Limited and Nokeng Fluorspar Mine.

General Manager at Wescoal Processing, Wescoal Mining (Pty) Ltd (2014-11 – 2015-09)

Led the integration of an acquired processing operation of over 200 employees and contractors into the Wescoal group, with accountability for safety, production, sales, marketing and finance. Served on the Wescoal Mining Executive Committee during construction and commissioning of the Elandspruit Colliery.

Built finance and reporting systems for the newly autonomous business unit and served as finance lead on the Wescoal Mining Projects Team during the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for the Elandspruit Colliery, including capital raising for construction.

Held financial oversight of the mining and trading subsidiaries of this JSE-listed coal group, covering control environment, budgeting, reporting, commercial agreements and JSE listing requirements. Led implementation of SAP and financing of the Intibane Colliery new-mine build; served on the group Executive Committee.

Prepared monthly management accounts and quarterly board packs, and compiled board and Exco presentations.
