Hi,

My name is Damiam, if I have reached out to you today, then it's because I am really interested in the position you might have posted. It is of interest to me because I have been looking for something new and exciting to do. I have been in retail for almost 10 years, and I'm currently working at Checkers, Eikestad (also retail). But like I was saying, I strongly desire to try something new and exciting in the job market and was hoping that you would be able to assist me.

I have enough retail industry experience to get a position in it. And I spent these years packing and selling some of the best, well known products in SA such as Pedigree, Beiersdorf (Nivea), and I did this with the utmost excellence and precision in the Stellenbosch area. That time I was working at PacknStack as a merchandiser, then 4-5 years later I got promoted to Field Marketer. I left this job because I got a better offer as permanent Perishables Controller at Checkers Stellenbosch.

I have enjoyed every minute of retail, both as a merchandiser, and Field Marketer. In general, I enjoy being creative, and working with different people. I have experience in selling products, giving great customer service, developing leaders, planning and executing, training new employees, facilitating various stores and moderating online communities, work-related issues, and also emotions and behaviours of staff under my responsibility.

I planned and facilitated all of their promotional lines and did all of the ordering and gave each employee instructions on how to get the job done properly and on time, which illustrates my organisation skills.

I wouldn't say no, to a role in retail, but ideally I would really like a role outside of retail, but I am open to all possibilities.
