Managing the VISPOL Section. Manage and Control the Rendering of Visible Policing Activities & Aligning the Visible Policing activities with the strategic direction, Objectives and priorities of the Station and of the SAPS.

Managing and Control of physical & human resources of the section. Analyse crime information to plan and conduct special Crime / Vispol operations. Implement and supervise the functions of the Sector Policing. Monitor and enforce compliance to procedures / functions of the DFO / FLASH. Promote & maintain good public relations.

Inspect all CSC registers on a daily basis. Ensure that level 1 & 2 inspections are conducted. Monitor complaints on the CAS system, as well as reaction times on all complaints. Implement and maintain Station Lectures & training sessions. Draw up and compile Station Plan & Police Safety Plan. Facilitate and attend CPF Meetings.

Manage the administration of the Vispol Section, and ensure operations are conducted and loaded on OPAM System.

Manage the information flow to the Vispol Section.

Extraneous duties:

Acting Station Commander in the absence of Station Commander.

Strong involvement with and steering sub forums; Community Police Forum and Business Against Crime Initiative.
