Technology Leader with 20+ years of experience delivering technology, transformation and operational outcomes across logistics, insurance, fintech and SaaS. My career includes significant delivery achievements across organisations such as FedEx, iOCO, Sanlam and SmartTask. At FedEx, I led Southern African mobility and customs-clearance initiatives, delivering a 200% improvement in data-transfer performance and increasing application usage by almost 70%. At iOCO, At Sanlam, I led the delivery of an enterprise mobile application, taking it from concept to production in just two sprints.
At SmartTask, I led the modernisation of a stagnant mobile platform, including its transition to .NET MAUI and the restoration of regular iOS and Android releases.
Alongside enterprise technology, I have founded and operated businesses spanning fintech, SaaS, AI and event management, including delivering major public events and hospitality operations for Comic Con Africa, with approximately 45,000 attendees and 50+ food truck vendors. This combination of technology, product, commercial, operational and entrepreneurial experience enables me to lead complex programmes, align stakeholders and vendors, shape products and turn ambitious ideas into practical, measurable outcomes.
Founded Plinth-Cloud (PTY) Ltd while seeking a new permanent opportunity. Leading the product and technical architecture for Plinth, an in-development property management platform for self-managing landlords, and DADO, an early-stage AI-powered maintenance and field-service platform. Designed a unified architecture spanning non-custodial open-banking reconciliation, statutory compliance, offline-first edge AI, and WhatsApp voice workflows to streamline operations across the property and trade services sectors.
With over 20+ years industry experience, my education comes from on-the-job exposure spanning a career in the software development industry. Although I have no formal education, my years of experience match or even exceeds that of a master's degree.
