Welding Superintendent with international recognised Red Seals from Canada (Alberta) and South Africa (Olifantsfontein).
Supervision, Training and Upgrading of Weld Procedures, communicating and implementation thereof. Coordinating between QC Department, Welding Department and Workforce. Inspecting and controlling of weld consumables, storage, issuing and procurement. Ensuring all Welding Equipment is calibrated. Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with Safety Regulations and efficiently. Capturing of daily progress and visual inspections.
Experience working on Tankage, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchanges and Ship Building – repairs and maintenance in the Oil and Gas, Paper and Pulp, Shipping and Beverage Industries. Over 25 years' experience as a welder and 10 years' experience in Supervisory roles. Coded to ASME IX, BS/EN, DIN and Canadian Standards.
Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 3834-2 and ISO 9001 and different alloys, material and exotics, including carbon, stainless, chrome and duplex. Planning of major turnarounds, outages and maintenance. Investigating and closing out of NCR's.
