Elna Schoeman

I am a hardworking, self motivated, sales driven individual that prides myself on excellent customer service. I have strong admin skills and thrives on learning new things. I have many years of experience in a retail sales environment.

I have an interest in homeware / decor and beautiful spaces although I have no formal interior design qualification I do believe that my work experience, excellent communication skills, admin qualities and willingness to learn would make me a ideal candidate for this position.

I started my career in the Food Service industry qualifying as a Catering Manager and then spending my time in Industrial kitchens in junior, and senoir Management Positions. I then moved on to Retail spesifically the Arts and Crafts Industry. I have Managed two Craft Shops gaining extensive experience across the board.

Most recently working for Creative Talents at their Head Office in Vereeniging fist as the assistant Manager and then as the Manager of the Craft Shop. My duties were varied including serving customers, relaying technical / product knowledge dealing with customer orders, stock contol, ordering, staff training, exstensive admin duties, special events, marketing, and merchanfising to name but a few. During 2023 I also got involved in the Upholstery Division of the company (a new Division) working closely with customers, preparing quotes, processing payments and preparing job cards for the factory.

From concept to delivery always insuring the customer was satisfied and well looked after.

I studied at Technicon Natal (Durban) from 1992-1995 obtaining my National Diploma in Catering Management.

I obtained my National Senior Certificate and completed grade 12 at Hoerskool Werda in Durban in 1992.
