I am an energetic and highly motivated Quality Manager and Laboratory Technician with over six years of experience in the food production industry. I hold a BSc in Food Science with a focus on Biochemistry from the University of Stellenbosch. My professional background includes extensive experience in managing quality processes, implementing and maintaining quality management systems, and conducting internal and external audits.
My strengths lie in problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. I am fluent in Afrikaans and English, which facilitates clear communication in diverse environments. My goal is to bring my expertise in quality management and laboratory operations to a dynamic organization, where I can contribute to maintaining and improving high standards of quality and compliance.
I have over six years of experience in quality management and laboratory operations within the food production industry. Currently, I serve as a Quality Manager and Laboratory Technician at Stellar Winery, where I implement and maintain quality management systems, conduct internal and external audits and manage quality documentation. My role also involves handling customer complaints, performing root cause analysis and conducting various pre- and post-production analyses.
I hold a BSc in Food Science with a focus on Biochemistry from the University of Stellenbosch, completed in December 2017. My education provided me with a strong foundation in product development, food chemistry, microbiology, and food factory machinery. Additionally, I have completed several specialized training courses, including Annelie Coetzee Consulting's ISO 22000:2018 / FSSC 22000 V5.1 training, Food Safety Internal & Supplier Auditing and Implementing and Maintaining PRPs and HACCP.
These courses have equipped me with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in food safety, quality management systems, and audit processes.
