Please accept my application letter as an expression of my interest in the Safety Officer position advertised in the company website. I am a highly motivated and progress-focused Safety officer with a long-standing background in the petroleum, Construction, Mining and Process Control industries. I have devised strategic initiatives which I believe will prove valuable to safety solutions.

Throughout the course of my career, I have perfected my HSSE management, budget and safety leadership and reporting abilities. In my current role I’m leading more than 30 contractors and 10 sub-contractors in a terminal depot (live plant) which contains over 70 million litres of petrol which pauses a high risk to employees and to the public. My strongest role is to ensure that critical incidents are mitigated through method statement, risk assessment and procedures in following the life saving rules which is a lead to the petroleum industry.

In my previous role in mining industry I enjoyed developing standards, and enforcing legal compliance. I’m currently doing a final year in safety management diploma at Unisa. I’ve obtained a SAMTRAC, Applied SHE principles and procedures, HIRA, from Nosa, Incident investigation from Dekra, and a National diploma in Business Management.

In my previous role I contributed safety Leadership, decision making, and public safety towards team efforts and business improvements. I have proven to be effective and collaborative with strong delegation talents. I enjoy collective brainstorming sessions which coordinates company goal.
