Good day!
I'm Frank Benade, coming to you from South Africa. At Lylac, I serve as a counselor, driven by a deep-seated commitment to understanding and connection. My personal journey has been shaped by a longing to bridge the gaps that often hinder communication between individuals. Growing up, I grappled with feeling misunderstood, igniting a profound desire within me to facilitate better understanding among people.
This passion led me to the field of counseling, fueled by the conviction that effective communication holds the power to transform lives. To better equip myself in this pursuit, I embarked on a journey to study Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), arming myself with the necessary tools to assist individuals of all ages in communicating more effectively. Additionally, I've pursued a CPA course in Mathematics.
I am enthusiastic about contributing my expertise and heartfelt dedication to the dynamic community of learners. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to connect and make a positive impact.
Thank you for considering my perspective, and I hope to engage with you soon.
I have extensive experience working as both a counselor and teacher in English and mathematics. As a counselor, I have provided guidance and support to students facing various academic, social, and personal challenges. This includes assisting them in setting goals, exploring career options, and developing coping strategies for stress and anxiety.
In my role as an English teacher, I have designed and implemented engaging lesson plans that cater to students' diverse learning styles and abilities. I have helped students improve their reading comprehension, writing skills, and critical thinking abilities through interactive activities and discussions.
Similarly, as a mathematics teacher, I have facilitated the learning of mathematical concepts by creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment. I have employed hands-on activities, visual aids, and real-world examples to make abstract mathematical concepts more accessible and understandable to students.
Overall, my experience as a counselor and teacher in both English and mathematics has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to effectively support students in their academic and personal growth journeys.
