I work mostly as a night shift receptionist in the hospitality industry and my main duties are as follows:
Greeting the guests and assisting them with the check-in and check-out process.
Taking bookings by phone, email, or walk-ins and recording all details in our online system.
Dealing with guest complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner
Liaising with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are available for check-in
Manage online and phone reservations
Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
