I have over 20 years work experience in the IT sector.
Currently one of the directors at Umrabululo Solutions – a company a couple of my colleagues and I started after we went through a big restructure process at our previous employer.
When last employed (2021), I specialised in SharePoint Online, where I acted as SharePoint administrator. I also developed business solutions using SharePoint’s out of the box functionality combined with Power Automate. As part of the change management process (SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and other related technologies) I provided SharePoint training and support.
Prior to this, I have managed a large SharePoint migration project (using ShareGate). We migrated from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online. As project manager, I lead the project team, but I also did the implementation of the project. This involved working with teams across 45 countries to migrate 260,000 documents spread across 550 SharePoint 2010 sites.
I have a passion for technology and I thrive in a role where I can apply my knowledge to troubleshoot technical issues and provide support and training to staff. I have lots of experience working with international colleagues and providing remote support. I am also experienced in working with external vendors. I am very resourceful and have an appetite for learning.
I started out as a graphic and web designer in 2001 and continued doing it as part of my job until 2014. I also have lots of desktop publishing experience (2002 – 2009) where I helped with the design and layout of Mathematics materials such as textbooks, charts and posters and getting them ready for print.
