o Full clean uniform o Hair is short and Security Officers are clean and shaven o Full equipment according to the client’s requirements o Any defects noted and reported immediately to the Service Manager o All Security Officers are present on duty according to the posting sheets o No Security Officer is carrying his own firearm and cell phone o Announcements of any commendations or ill-discipline o Any Security Officer not in full uniform disciplined accordingly o Any Security Officer late for parade disciplined accordingly
o Ensure that all the Security Officers have signed the Posting Sheet. Report all shortage to FSS
Control Room o Orientate any new Security Officers deployed on site o Ensure that every Security Officer has signed for his equipment e.g. Radios and in what condition he received it o Each spare trained regarding his relevant duties o A copy of the Posting Sheet to be handed to the client daily o Update posting sheets as and when required e.g. new posts, amended grades, radio serial no’s etc.
o All equipment issued to the Security Officer are recorded and signed for o All Fire equipment on site checked daily. Any discrepancies on inspections reported to the
Facilities Manage. A monthly report must be submitted to the Facilities Manager o Weekly equipment audits reports submitted through to Operations Manager with service ability status of each item o Responsible for the maintenance and safekeeping of all Hyprop equipment, e.g. portable radios, officer equipment and Scooters
Managing of Sick Notes and annual leave and ensuring that all staff takes annual leave according to the leave roster o Disciplinary recordings for all non-compliance and handling of disciplinary hearings in accordance with the Labour Act o Monthly Reports and Statistics (To be received by the Client by the 5th of each month)
o Fuel and Fleet Management – Manage operation and daily maintenance of on-site fleet and fuel accounts (liaise with service provider and Head Office)
o Salary PER4’s – rate changes, upgrades and downgrades – Liaise with Payroll Department at
Head Office o Recruitment and appointment of all staff – liaise with Recruitment Centre o Working file system updated weekly with restricted access and contain relevant information e.g.
Training Certificates, certified ID copies, PSIRA and employment contract o Daily equipment checklists o Attend to all pay related matters o Annual leave roster compiled and disclosed to all personnel o Pay Queries o Monthly Duty Rosters o Daily Posting Sheets o Relevant training schedule for Security Officers; Firearms; Customer care training etc.
o Ensure discipline is being maintained o Control Room Checks o Check that all the entrances and fire escapes are locked o To attend to call outs to each emergency, when requested by Management or when necessary
o That Security Officers are carrying out their duties according to the Job Description o All Security Officers are dressed accordingly o All Security Officers are in possession of the right equipment o At least 50% of my day spent on the floor o All Close Protection details are to report to myself before entering the complex and I’m to personally oversee their operations on site in all aspects o Attend to All requests/complaints from tenants/Centre Management promptly and give feedback to the Operation Manager o All major and sensitive incidents investigated personally. Ensure that all other investigation dossiers
(crime or insurance related) are completed and signed off. Copies issued to Centre Management o Monitor and control viewing of the footage where evidence relating to incidents is sought o Ensure that CCTV cameras which are operational o Ensure all Site Manager adhere to their Job Specifications and Responsibilities o Monitoring diesel levels of three different buildings generator tanks an advising on delivery and refilling of diesel tanks o Daily inspections on incoming water supply line from Jo’burg Water and requesting water tanker deliveries. Valve manipulation on main and sub water make up tanks to keep all toilets operational o Assisting with photo reports on any maintenance and building issues and assisting in resolving such issues o Assisting Centre Management and relieving the Operational and Maintenance Managers over the weekends
