• Creation of standard food, protective clothing, cleaning materials and engineering consumables order lists for vessels. 
• Ensure all purchase orders are approved by responsible managers, capture all purchase orders on a timely basis, ensure goods/services are delivered on time by suppliers, follow-up on outstanding p/o’s, investigate any sequence breaks on p/o numbers on Syspro and ensure that outstanding items or issues identified are resolved. 
• Purchasing of fuel, lubes, protective clothing, food, engineering supplies and consumables. 
• Create blanket purchase orders annually. 
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and negotiate best possible prices. 
• Building good strong relationships with suppliers. 
• Sourcing of new suppliers if and when required. 
• Updating and maintaining preferred supplier database. 
• Generate expenditure reports on all vessels. 
• Completing credit application forms ensuring that all information is correct and signed off by relevant managers. 
• Maintain a credit application file. 
• Obtaining and updating BEE certificates from all suppliers. 
• Assist with event planning and co-ordination.
