I understand business and its challenges in all of its facets.

I have worked mainly in the agricultural field on the processing (factories) side.

I have constructed and managed a few factories and teams.

I can work on my own.

I am still quite healthy with loads of experience.

After school I have done my SANDF duty where I become an officer.

My first job was at SAD (dried fruit) where I have worked in several departments - factory, intake depots and later on financial manager of the reginal office. I was with them for 21 years.

Thereafter I moved to the pecan business where I erected and run two cracking facilities for 15 years. I finished off as factory manager on both of them.

I have done quite a few managements and supporting cources during my time.

Out of my duties, I have gained lots of experience in:

• operations management
• planning and construction
• HR and team motivation and training
• financial systems and costing
• presentations and reporting
• stockholding and inventories
• yearend procedures and auditing
• vehicle and equipment care and maintenance
