Accomplished and results-oriented professional with proven success in project management, teaching and mentoring students as well as carrying out scientific research on compounds and polymers. Demonstrated abilities in curriculum designing, education administration, field instruction, peer counselling, and training and development. Skilled in dealing with polymer synthesis and characterisation, wood, polymeric membranes, catalysis, fuel cells, water purification, and biomass.
Lead and implement appropriate experiments to extract, purify, convert and use lignin in value adding applications. Primarily responsible for polymer synthesis, new product development, raw material evaluation, product formulation, product improvement, testing, interpretation of results and reporting of findings to biorefinery manager. Lead and execute research projects on woody biomass derived lignin that is converted into value added products.
Supervise laboratory and pilot plant experiments according to quality and safety standards, published, in-house developed and approved methods. Manage all aspects of projects, including external stakeholders, using project management tools.
Produce proposals, reports, project closing documentation and PCV (post completion verification), technical and safety procedures as well as peer-reviewing of reports. Training of junior staff on mill processes, data mining (trends and correlations) and data interpretation as well as applied practical applications and research methodologies.
