I was employed by the Gauteng Department of Education as a Maths teacher for 8 years and was promoted to Head the Department for 3 years and finally as a Subject Adviser for Mathematics at Ekurhuleni North District secondary schools for another 3 years. I then worked as a Project Coordinator/Field trainer at Maths Centre (MCPT) for 9 months and had to leave because of the fixed contract and Ubuntu Education Fund offered a permanent position in Port Elizabeth as Education Manager. I was employed as an Educational Projects Manager at Star Schools on fixed one year contract until 31 December 2013, managing educational projects national, and the staff of more than 40 members. I also worked at Kliptown Youth Program (KYP) as Educational Manager , managing primary, secondary and tertiary education, including staff of 20+ members. KYP offered me a 2-year contract from June 2014 to 31 December 2016, renewable subject to funding and performance. i am currently the Educational Programmes Director at Jumpstart.
Michael & Susan Dell Foundation sponsored program in Gauteng as well as Sasol sponsored programme in Sasolburg, Free State & Mpumalanga. Managing funded Mathematics paper/digital programmes throughout the country. Recruiting talented matriculants, develop training manuals for a year and train them to be deployed into schools. Develop training materials Train teachers and conduct regular school/class visits to monitor, evaluate and support project implementation
With all the experience gained at various levels within the education sector in government institutions as well as NGO?s, I believe that I will provide meaningful contribution to your company/institution. Also important, is the fact that I'm capable of learning new techniques efficiently, effectively and faster.
