Iam currently working as infection prevention specialist in the private sector and have experience as a Clinical facilitator as well as psychiatric, geriatric, medical and surgical nursing experience.
My key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Promotion of Quality patient care initiatives through:
- Assessment of patients’ needs on a daily basis and as per required need
- Planning of care to be rendered based on patient specific needs
- Implementation of Care plans for patients
- Evaluation of care rendered and its outcomes
- Reporting to RN and Recording observation/ assessment done within Scope of practice
- Occupational Health and safety awareness
- Infection Prevention compliance and adherence
- Ensuring safe patient and staff environment through daily risk assessment while on duty
- General ward management including legislative responsibilities according to Nursing and Medicine and related substances acts
- Ensuring principles of infection prevention and control are maintained
- TB management and reporting to department of health
- Facilitation training and evaluation of staff members
- Liaison with unit managers on unit specific risks and its mitigation
- Health and safety management for staff and internal and external clients where applicable
- Ensuring and promoting compliance to legislative requirements related to environmental conservation (waste management etc.)
- Identifying cost saving initiatives while delivering quality patient care.
- Liaison with internal and external service providers and ensuring uninterrupted, safe service delivery of high quality (NDOH, DOL, Labs, Pharmacy, Laundry etc.)
- Adverse event management/ reporting
- Staff and patient satisfaction monitoring in conjunction with unit managers.
