Electrical Assistant at Edison Power Group (2015-06 – 2015-12)
I worked for Edison Power Group that had a contract under Basil Read at Medupi Power Station and I was working as a Semi-skilled (Electrical assistant). So we were assisting with:
- installation of Lights and switches, connecting computer, telephone socket and connecting them to distribution board and installing cables to distribution board from the main supply
- Connected wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Repaired or replaced wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Performing tasks as directed by the Line Manager
- Connecting DB boards
Armed Response Officer at Chubb Security and Fire (2016-06 – 2022-08)
- React to threats without posing a risk to the public.
- Follow the company policies and procedures when reporting incidents.
- React immediately to all relevant alarms of clients.
- If the alarm is positive, assess the situation and keep the Control room and fellow colleagues/tactical teams and senior personnel informed at all times of any new activity.
- Ensure that the response times are according to the stipulated SOP's.
- Take detailed notes of all activity at the crime scene, take photos and conduct a full investigation on the scene.
- Report back to the Control Room regarding the request for response.
- Conduct client reconnaissance as and when required
Uber Driver at Uber Technologies Inc (2017-01 – Present)
- Picking up and delivering customers.
- Choosing the best routes to destinations by using maps and GPS
- Helping to load and unload the vehicle.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and in good working order
- Maintaining the phone app to navigate the vehicle
- Maintaining a clean and inviting vehicle for passengers
- Communicating with passengers, offering a safe and welcoming ride to their destination

- Operate tipper truck to transport and deliver sand, stone to customers
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects
- Load and offload materials using tipper controls
- Follow delivery schedules and assigned routes
- Complete delivery documentation and obtain client sign-off
- Ensure loads comply with weight and safety regulations
- Perform basic maintenance checks and refueling
