I completed my matric in 2022 with a bachelor's pass and am currently in my third year of studying Applied Social Science, majoring in Psychology and Counselling, at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). My academic journey has been complemented by hands-on experience in various people-centred roles, including bartending, waitressing, babysitting, and au pairing. I am also a qualified paragliding pilot.
Throughout my experiences, I have demonstrated patience, empathy, reliability, and a strong work ethic. I am creative, open-minded, and thrive on challenges, always eager to expand my skill set. My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish Sugar And Spice, a home baking business, where I supplied baked goods to individual clients and a local restaurant, Vela (a restaurant in the Northwest).
As an event coordinator for the Paramaniacs flying club (2022–2023), I developed organizational and marketing skills, while my ongoing role as an Au Pair since May 2023 has deepened my passion for working with children. I tutor two boys in Maths and English, using innovative and individualized approaches to support their academic growth. This experience has fuelled my commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering their self-development.
My academic and practical experiences have cultivated a keen interest in promoting mental health and wellbeing for both children and adults. I have actively contributed to psychoeducational projects, including the development of a theoretical program as part of my studies. Through SACAP's work integrated learning program, I completed over 116 hours at The Foundation Clinic, where I facilitated classes based on the Collins Window Coaching Model.
This exposure has ignited a genuine passion for coaching and broadened my understanding of the helping professions.
