Jishnavi Govender

Through this letter, I wish to introduce myself and show you my interest in becoming a part of your company. I am Jishnavi Govender and graduated with a honors degree in civil engineering from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in May 2022. As a student I have been involved in a few civil engineering projects while completing my vacation workhours.

These included low cost housing developments and roads that needed drainage. My responsibilities in my previous employment included sewer impact assessments, traffic impact assessments and other inspections with the aid of numerous softwares and technologies, which included Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GIS, AutoCAD and Civil3D. I also assisted in the compilation of tender documents for the company, which were revised and submitted timelessly.

I believe that if I join your team, I would be of great value as I am highly versatile and an innovative individual that can establish healthy working relationships within multicultural environments. I am a good team-builder with excellent collaborative skills and leadership qualities. I am extremely skilled at problem solving and poised with analytic skills that have enabled me to de-bottleneck and optimize variousprocesses in design.

My intention now is to gain exposure in the field of civil engineering and to be mentored by engineers who have served the community for many years to acquire the required skills and knowledge of a professional engineer. Within the next 3 or 4 years I wish to attain my professional registration withECSA.
