To whom it may concern,
My name is Johan Ras and I am no stranger to the Financial Services Industry in South Africa. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Banking from the University of Pretoria and have over 30 years’ experience in both the Banking and Retail Business in South Africa.
After a successful career in the Corporate World, I have started Spinnaker Consulting (Pty) Ltd, towards the end of 2016. Being very passionate about the Outsourced Debt Collection Industry and its possibilities, I now provide consulting services to assist Credit Providing Organisations and External Debt Collecting Agencies to manage their debt collecting activities on a more adequate and effective basis.
Prior to this venture, I have spent over 12 years specialising in Risk Assessment and Outsourced Debt Collection and Recoveries. During this time, I have headed up the Outsourced Debt Collections and Recoveries Departments of three large Corporate Retail Companies in South Africa in the following capacities:

Before the above positions in the Retail Financial Services Industry in South Africa, I was a consultant at Pic Solutions who back in 2006 was one of the largest customer management solutions companies based in the Southern Hemisphere. In this role I provided consulting services on international best practices for the entire credit life cycle of financial products both locally and internationally.
As you will see on my CV, I have also spent 11 years in the Banking Industry mainly at Absa Bank and held various positions in the Commercial Banking Sector including Absa Head Office Group Internal Audit where I was involved in the Risk Assessment of International Banking Centres within the Group.
