• RISK MANAGEMENT:
• Facilitate the development and continuous review of all risk assessments (Baseline Risk Assessment, Task Risk Assessment, Pre-Task Risk Assessment, Environmental Risk Assessment, PHA, PDA, etc.
• Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and facilitation of learnings
• Analyse accident and incident reports for trends
• Ensure effective policies, standards and systems are in place and implemented to provide and maintain the highest level of safety awareness and incident management, targeting zero harm
• Participates in the development and implementation safety programs such as MOC, permit to work, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fire protection, and other safety programs
• REGUALATORY COMPLIANCE
• Ensure that all Depots and Logistics are compliant with all relevant and applicable legislation and other requirements. (Including permits, fire risk assessment, MHI risk assessment etc)
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
• Provides guidance and direction to onsite management team to ensure SHE compliance and best practice measures are implemented.
• Continuously facilitate engagement with key internal stakeholders on SHE requirements and performance systems
• Uses knowledge of continuity assurance principles, methods, and practices to plan, implement and ensure continuous improvement
• COMMUNICATION AND ENGAGEMENT
• Monthly engagement with different stakeholders to update SHE operational plan
• Communication and discussion of company policy and the update on legal requirements
• Assist the depots and logistics to deliver successful assurance outcomes and provide guidance, subject matter expects and facilitation of assurance governance
• Contribute to continual improvement and achievement of stated performance objectives by raising awareness of trends, risks and emerging themes
• OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
• Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 45001, PSM and CAIA).
• Take full accountability for preparations for annual internal and external SHE audits in order to assist the organisation in maintaining certification against SHEQ Standards i.e., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Process Safety Management and Key Undesirable Event)
• In collaboration with business and relevant stakeholders prevent and mitigate the occurrence and recurrence of undesirable SHE events by establishing and assuring that processes are in place to continually improve SHE risk management and institutionalise learnings, through effective corrective and preventive controls.
• Drive the non-conformance system on site and ensure that all deviations are closed timeously
• Provide operational support to ensure adherence to all processes in accordance with policies/systems/procedure
• Provide daily guidance and direction in terms of SHE programs at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach
• Participate in all planned and unplanned safety stand downs
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
• Actively drive the development of new projects, providing the baseline for SHE standards and procedures that must be incorporated into the new project, product, or process facility
• Overseeing resource forecasting processes and ensuring that the appropriate resources are available as per agreed project plans
• Drive the Safety Management system and Risk Management process continuously on all projects in the depots
• Facilitate contractor management systems, including review of contractor health and safety plans
