I have spent nearly 30 years in this industry, on every level, events, multicam live shows, big international slick commercials, feature films and long form television, I have watched it evolve from huge “film” teams excited to work on the Panavision cameras to where we are today often on limited budgets with smaller crews, slimmed down sets and thinking out of the box to make every production quality driven no matter the budge, but yet the foundation of why I am still so passionate about this job will never change. Film making is a business, it is so incredible to be part of, but it is still a business, which needs to turn over cash flow, expand revenue and slim down costs, we still need to offer the top and most innovative creative solutions and because I have never compromised on this I am proud to have clients across the globe that will still pick me as their EP and solution to their complex production problems
Every new project is a challenge, every new brief is exciting and I still put as much energy into every single job no matter how big or a small.I have risen through the ranks to Headof two of the biggest International Production Houses in the world until more recently running the Film Factory for Mr Hamid Al Asfoor in Bahrain to finally launching my own production house in Bahrainand now workingin South Africa. From concept to completion I am the completepackage
I have produced some of the most international award winning work ever produced in this country such as the slew of BMW work in the early nineties for Mr Keith Rose and take as much pleasure today writing and making small videos for YouTube and social media as I did the big Television shows I was lucky enough to produce as well. I have managed international film teams in the middle of the desert of up to 450 crew and small 4 men crew in a space where no one can breathe.. My commitment to storytelling throughbeautiful and skilled visualshas never wavered.
I was very successful in managing large teams to stay relevant, to remain creative, to use new technology to upgrade their skills and stay on the cutting edge of multi media and creative advertising and marketing and now working on my own with much smaller teams, I am still able to use all that I learned and passed on, and still teach myself new “tricks” and new trendsevery day to use in my own work and inspire myself and those around me to riseto the challenge and go that extra mile,
Throughtravelling across the globe I have slottedmyself easily into structured corporations like FIFA for World Cup 2010, or creative boutiques such as Rougue Films in the UK to work seamlessly with some of the biggest clients in the world.I have always been the creative driving force behind all the work I wrote, directed and produced and during the 8 years I spent in the GCC, I am particularly proud of bringing those skills to a small Kingdom like Bahrain where I produced videos for companies like Aramco (whilst working for AMG), Bapco and BNP Paribas. I loved working in the Gulf and recently I took the position as Supervising Producer at Aramco where we make between 250 and 300 digital videos a year and created and produced their first “home grown” reality show and raising the funds to produce the 1st season
