Fire Fighter One

Entry-level structural firefighters trained to perform emergency response, fire suppression, rescue, and basic medical care while maintaining equipment and station readiness.

• Respond to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and technical rescues; perform scene size-up and follow IC/incident action plans.
• Operate firefighting equipment: hoses, pumps, nozzles, ladders, ventilation tools and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
• Perform fire suppression tactics: attack, containment, overhaul, salvage and loss control.
• Conduct search and rescue for trapped/disabled victims; perform patient assessment.

Fire Fighter Two

• Respond to emergency calls, providing life-saving interventions in firefighting and rescue operations.
• Operate firefighting equipment, including hoses, pumps, and other specialized tools effectively and safely.
• Conduct fire suppression and prevention activities, ensuring compliance with fire codes and safety regulations.
• Perform property inspections and generate reports based on findings, identifying potential fire hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in training new firefighters on techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
• Participate in community education programs to teach fire safety and prevention practices.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in proper working condition, ensuring readiness for emergency response.
• Collaborate with other emergency services, including EMS and law enforcement, to ensure coordinated response in high-stress situations.
• Conduct salvage operations to minimize property damage after fire incidents.
• Maintain physical fitness and technical proficiency through regular training and drills.

Hazmat Awareness Specialist

Seasoned safety professional with extensive experience in hazardous materials (HAZMAT) identification, risk assessment, and emergency response.
