I am a 23 year old female and recently completed my Diploma in Food Technology 2021. I am currently studying part-time to obtain an advanced diploma of quality. Combining food technology with quality skills allows us to produce quality work and to pay close attention to everything we do. Having to study during COVID919, so my computer and communication skills improved a lot. As a quality engineer she has 6 months experience and in new product development she has 1 year experience.

Housekeeping 

• Before the start and the end of each shift you must ensure that the working space is clean, and all the machines are working to their maximum capacity. 

• During production of the product, the product must be confirmed that there are no foreign objects found, using a metal detector 

• Must open and close NCRs. Write down what went wrong and how did you solved the problem and how to avoid the problem in future. 

• Before packing the product, the temperature must be checked (RT temperature)

• Collecting samples from every batch including samples for Woolworths as our client.

Duties  

Product Developments:

• Developing products based on customer requests e.g., matching products from scratch, changing the pack size of the current product and changing the name of the product. 
• Reformulating existing products 
• Making soup base and cooking up samples

• Updating and creating new products specifications of what a product contains, it's packaging/labelled and shell life.

• Using the UK based system called Unity to capture of product info such as development, recipe, and final product code/s. 
• Sending recipe check to Production Manager 
• Sending sample/s to Quality controllers (QC) for chemical, microbial and allergen analysis.

• Assisting line manager with production and making up recipes according to the required quantity and monitoring/ supervising production. 
• Sending production updates to production planners and quality controllers 
• Checking if the appearance of the product is good and have correct consistency before packing.

• Assisting with preparations and conducting sensory for data analysis and reporting based on customer request. 

• Recording test results and publishing them in a document on share point.  Collecting and sending samples to ML lab 

• Tasting new raw materials and fill in forms based on the evaluation and send feedback to procurement. 

• Developing products by R2178, preservatives and antioxidation regulation
• Reducing sodium based on regulation 
• Creating finished products labels.  

• Checking products shelf life in different days due to preservatives used. 

• Request for kosher certificates for the product ingredients we purchase from the suppliers and do applications and send to the Beth din for approval.
