I am extremely passionate about AgriScience and Chemical Engineering, having experienced both worlds in tandem for the last 6 years. I have delved into all aspects of complex processes from the chemistry, to the coding, to the hands-on day to day labour. From managing a lab to presenting at conferences, I integrate well with others and have a love for professional and interpersonal communication.
I have spent 6 years researching process monitoring and control for the wine industry, centering around non-destructive methods and mathematical modeling. Additionally, I have also spent 5 of those years managing a research laboratory, where I took care of day-to-day activities, trained personnel on analytical methods, and completed orders.
I hold a Bachelor's of Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, and went on to pursue a PhD in AgriScience, entitled “Use of Mathematical Modelling and Multivariate Statistical Process Control during Alcoholic Fermentation of Red Wine”
