I have extensive experience in the AR Department , managing ,supervising and mentoring staff while setting targets for them to excel to their full potential . I have completed my studies with distinctions (Credit Management 1,2 and 3) which has given me further insight on how to action debt in a professional manner without loosing any clients . And it has also helped me by setting up policies and procedures in the departments i worked in to ensure that our targets are reachable and any debt moving to a different aging bucket such as 60 + days flagged immediately as per the clients signed contract agreement with the contractual payment terms if they are breached .
I have also collaborated a Debtors Department from scratch starting from the interview process to system training and complied a process and procedure step by step guide to assist them on each step as to what next step has to be taken
I have worked in many sectors and many industries making me compatible easily to change and different work ethic and cultures . My experience in the AR/Debtors Department and Managing a teams is 20+ years . I am very hands on as i started at the bottom as a junior debtors controller and worked myself up by studying and doing on the job training to have the experience and knowledge i posses now .
Working in different industries such as the hospital environment, medical aid , telecommunications,FMCG companies i have grown so much, by that i mean learning smarter ways to do things and what to implement if a function or process is not working for staff members. I am very open to staff members input as that allows them to feel like they are part of the decision making and grows their work ethic and character i the work place as they feel more valued
I have completed my Credit Management 1, 2 and 3 with instinct ions . Enrolling myself with Unisa soon for the next semester . Been giving training to new staff members on how to navigate the systems with smarter ways of working for example bank reconciliation with pages of remittances that can take up to whole day and we minimized it for it to be done in 30 mins-45 mins for a remittance of R2.5 mil .Given the staff the necessary tools on how to compose professional emails as their wording wasn't satisfactory for their roles and the business reputation .
