my name is Kimberley Dryden. I’m well known as Sr Dryden in the clinical setting. I am 24 years old. I am a newly qualified professional nurse. I studied at the university of Western Cape where I completed my bachelors degree in nursing that is the R425 programme which consisted of general nursing, community nursing, midwifery and psychiatric nursing.
I completed my studies in 2024. I then went on to do my community service at Karl Bremer Hospital where I had the opportunity to gain practical experience in various wards such as medical, surgical, orthopaedic, gynaecology, trauma, TB and the high care unit. Through my experiences I gained strong clinical and communication skills.
I am able to work well both independently and within a team. I am empathetic and professional. I am a fast learner which allows me to adapt in any environment. I became a nurse because it is a profession where I can continue to grow while serving others.
It challenges me to think critically, act with compassion and constantly learn new skills. Which makes it both rewarding and fulfilling.
