The following are the qualifications that I, Karel Patrick Neethlin Nero hold: BA in
Public Governance with Public Administration and BAHonors in Public Governance which I have obtained at North West University where I am currently pursuing my MA in Public Governance (Potchefstroom Campus).
I have majored on every area of the public sector, including its economy and finance department, as part of my curriculum for attained qualifications. Regarding work experience, I worked as a programme assistant at North West University's
Potchefstroom campus from February 2022 to June 2022, assisting with the
Municipal Management Curriculum. From July 2022 to December 2022, I coordinated the internal program evaluations at the School of Government studies within the faculty of Humanities for all three the North West University Campuses.
Serving on student structures on the NWU, it has taught me a lot about who I am. I work incredibly hard and am persistent, committed, focused, and driven. I have learned that people have different traits and personalities, and that by putting in the effort and paying attention to others' wants, ideas, and viewpoints, one can finally accommodate all personalities and needs through discussion and compromise.
Leaderships may do a lot with the aid of respect and mutual understanding. Being a part of both of these systems has taught me that sometimes I need to shrink in order to meet everyone's requirements. Even if I might not always agree, I need to recognize and respect the next person's contribution, opinion, and perspectives. For the sake of my fellow members, lecturers, students, and campus administration, I had to put my own needs, wishes, and feelings aside in order to stay objective.
I have learned that if I put my mind to it and devote the required amount of time,
effort, and patience to my project, I can accomplish a lot of things and ensure that everything turns out well. I have discovered that effective time management is essential to maintaining order, particularly in light of the fact that leadership structures consume a significant amount of time and must be balanced with academics, mental health, and a social life. Many mistakes can be avoided by establishing routine and order.
I'm interested in this position because I understand how my knowledge and abilities could benefit the institution in this capacity. I also see a chance for me to develop these skills, which would be advantageous for both of us in terms of our personal and professional well-being.
