• Prepared and analyzed steel rod samples for microstructural evaluation and crack/failure analysis.
• Performed mechanical testing, including tensile, bend and torsion tests.
• Conducted non-destructive testing using liquid penetrant testing methods.
• Monitored and audited the foundry furnaces for more efficient performance.
• Monitored pickling operations, including acid concentration and bath temperature, to optimize rod surface quality and prevent defects.
• Conducted volumetric titrations to determine acid and iron content in process tanks.
• Inspected finished rod castings for defects, cracks and weaknesses.
