Senior Technician / QC Inspector - fuel and fleet asset management
Car automation / tracking. Main job function: Fitting trackers, Fitting Cameras, Fitting Can bus, Fuel fitment and mentoring staff.
- Performing installations of sophisticated electronic units, such as vehicle tracking, fleet management systems, cameras, alarms, and immobilizers, according to quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Traveling to customer sites (homes or businesses) to perform onsite installations at a convenient location for the client.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with existing equipment and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Configuring and testing installed systems to ensure full functionality and performance.
- Managing and maintaining company resources, including assigned vehicles, tools, and stock inventory, ensuring they are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Completing all necessary documentation and reports related to installations, repairs, and stock usage, often using electronic systems.
- Communicating professionally with customers to explain the installation process, provide instructions on using the equipment, and address any questions or concerns.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and health and safety standards in the workplace.
- Removing and re-installing vehicle interior panels or components as required to hide wiring and ensure a neat installation.
