Lakin Smith

I completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Industrial Psychology. Throughout my degree I worked as a sales assistant at Yuppiechef where I learned how to balance working and studying. I learned how to deal with purchasing and return processes while completing transfers of units to warehouses and stores within South Africa. I was involved with recruitment of temporary and permanent staff members, this included scanning suitable applicants, monitoring store assessments and conducting interviews alongside my manager.

I am a hard worker and always eager to learn more and so I enjoy shadowing my leaders and being able to understand processes and reasons for those processes. It has enabled me to learn faster and expand my skill set further. I enjoy interacting with various personalities and this has aided me to communicate efficiently with co-workers and customers.

I started working as a waitress during my gap year in 2019, after this I started studying at the University of Witswatersrand in 2020. In 2022 I started working at a sales assistant at Yuppiechef where I currently work.

I started studying in 2020 at the University of Witswatersrand where I completed my Bachelor of arts degree where I majored in Industrial Psychology.
