- Conduct daily/weekly site inspections within the rail reserve
- Monitor compliance with rail possession conditions, safe working distances from live tracks, and overhead traction equipment (OHTE) controls
- Verify that contractors comply with PRASA and Railway Safety Permit requirements
- Monitor public interface risks at stations
- Monitor excavation near tracks, lifting operations within rail reserve, work near live overhead lines, and confined space entry under CHSA supervision
- Ensure approved method statements are implemented and risk assessments are site-specific and current
- Verify permit-to-work systems are active and signed
- Assist in reviewing Contractor Health & Safety Plans, Baseline Risk Assessments, and Task Risk Assessments
- Review Legal Appointments, Rail access permits, Incident investigation reports, and Emergency response plans
- Maintain compliance tracking register, NCR register, and corrective action tracking matrix
- Monitor barricading at operational stations and ensure safe pedestrian diversions
- Verify crowd control measures during peak hours
- Monitor dust, noise, and public complaints
- Ensure no disruption to train operations
- Assist in rail-related incident investigations and gather statements and evidence
- Ensure immediate reporting to PRASA and relevant authorities
- Track corrective and preventative actions
- Compile weekly site inspection reports, monthly SHE oversight reports, and high-risk activity observation reports
- Highlight rail operational risks, public interface risks, and contractor non-compliance trends
- Liaise with PRASA Operations, Contractors' HSE teams, Possession managers, and Signalling and OHTE teams
- Attend technical and progress meetings
- Escalate critical safety concerns to the CHSA
