Lara Heath

I am teacher Lara and I am 27 years old from South Africa. I am a fun, bubbly and caring person who always has the best interest of others at heart and I am always willing to go the extra mile for those I interact with. My hobbies include being in nature where once a year I travel to the mountains here in South Africa to a little town called Hogsback to experience all the hikes, mountain ranges and snow.

I thoroughly enjoy getting lost in a good book, spending time with my family and going to the beach. I have always stayed in South Africa but I have traveled to Madagascar, Portuguese Islands and Maputo. I have friends and family all over the world including Australia, United Kingdom, Uganda, Zimbabwe and China.

I began my English teaching career two years ago where I taught fellow work colleagues from China how to read, write and speak English along with doing extra lessons over the years for students ranging from 7 – 16 years old with subjects that include, accounting, English , phonics, Afrikaans, arts and culture, Natural science, Biology, Business studies and Technology.

March 2019 – present: ESL teacher at QOEG; tutoring English to children from 3-18 

2013-2016 – Tutor - Extra lessons- Home study - for students as home study ages ranging from 7 – 16 years old – Englsih, Afrikaans, Technology, Arts and Culture, Business studies, Natural Science and Biology.

Preparing students to be able to understand the materials provided in order to succeed in tests and exams for school

Teaching the basic fundamentals of the English and Afrikaans Language

2020-2022 – English Tutor – Work – Kartech - grammar, reading, writing and speaking ages 24-45 – 

Practicing Grammar, sentence structures, basic fundamentals of the English Language

Basic communication, business communication (email and interactive conversation)
