I believe that a good life is built on challenge and growth. When something feels tough, I see it as a chance to improve. That attitude has shaped how I approach both work and sport. I thrive under pressure, when I need to focus, dig deep, and push past what I thought possible. I am the hardest worker in any room, and will always try to be the best in any position or situation I find myself.
Endurance sports like ultra-running and triathlon have taught me patience, consistency, and discipline. You don’t get results overnight—you get them by showing up every day and putting in the effort. I bring the same mindset to my career: steady progress, hard work, and always looking to push further.
What excites me about finance is the mix of analysis, problem-solving, and strategy. I’m especially keen on making sense of financial statements, working with clients to explain the numbers clearly, and exploring how companies can fund themselves in the smartest way possible. The idea of building the right capital structure really excites me, it’s about balance, growth without overreach, and building something that lasts.
Looking ahead, my goals are clear: build a strong career in finance, keep learning and developing, and one day have the stability and success to support a family of my own. I’m keen to bring energy, drive, and resilience into the next step of my journey.
I’m a final-year SAICA trainee accountant at Moore Stellenbosch, where I’ve gained extensive experience leading and participating in complex, high-risk audit engagements. Over the past three years, I’ve developed strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage demanding audit environments under pressure.
I hold a BCom in Chartered Accountancy from North-West University and have passed the CFA Level 1 exam — I’m currently a CFA Level 2 candidate. Before starting my articles, I worked as a Financial Advisor Assistant at FA-EN-JA Investments (PPS) and as a Red Bull Student Brand Manager, which helped me build excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills.
I’m passionate about investment management, economics, and financial markets, and I take pride in my strong work ethic, professionalism, and disciplined approach to challenges — qualities I’ve also developed through ultra-marathon running and endurance sports. I’m now looking to apply my experience and drive to a finance or investment-focused role starting in 2026.
